Arena Pontardawe is a community-based social enterprise organization,
consisting of a large number of societies, groups and individuals from
within the local community who have identified the need for a fully
accessible, multipurpose community venue.
The Arena venue will be an all-weather, purpose-built, medium-sized complex,
which has been designed to accommodate a range of events and activities that
require specialized facilities not normally provided for within existing
venues. It will include two interior multifunctional arenas and one
all-weather outdoor arena, plus educational, training, business and
exhibition facilities.
The aim of the enterprise is to develop Arena Pontardawe as ‘The Landmark’
and thriving ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the Swansea Valley, which will assist
with social, economic, cultural
and environmental regeneration.
The Arena Committee has members who are senior officers and consultants
within a number of significant areas such as Planning and Civil Engineering,
Environment and Sustainable Energy, Administration and Management, Marketing
and Public Relations. It also has members who are executive officers of
local and national Equestrian Organizations and of National and
International Arts Organizations who regularly organize major events and
have successfully developed International Exchanges and links via music
festivals and visual arts projects.

involved, please get in touch via our Contact page.

The complex has been designed by Atkins Global to be environmentally
friendly and a ‘Landmark Building’. Full planning permission has been
granted from Neath Port Talbot Planning Department.
