Riverside Community Space

The Riverside Centre is situated on the Riverside Park between the river Tawe and the Swansea Canal and just a short walk from the centre of Pontardawe and the village of Ynysmeudwy. Click here for location map.

Arena Pontardawe has taken over the building from the Local Authority and raised funds for its renovation and restoration for use by the community. Work is now completed and the Arena is working with local groups to develop a programme of activities and events to ensure its future for the people of Pontardawe.

The Building is an ideal venue where your group or society can hold regular meetings or host conferences and, when used with the surrounding parkland, is just right for fetes, children’s parties, demonstrations and competitions such as dog shows or country pursuits.

The Centre is well placed for providing a base for field studies and educational workshops and projects linked to the environment and healthy living. It is in a delightful rural setting with easy and accessible walks along the towpath or river and is adjacent to the Sustrans national cycle way and St Illtyd’s Way footpath.

The Building has two main spaces, an Event space: 11 x 5 metre and a Meeting room: 5 x 3 metre equipped with tables and chairs and tea and coffee making facilities. Equipment such as flip charts and projectors can be supplied. The Centre has Disabled access and toilets, a large free car park and access to the Riverside Park.

If you, your group, club or society would like to make use of the Riverside Centre, please get in touch with us on 01269 822515 or E mail j.a.howes@talk21.com
