Welcome to the Riverside Centre

The Riverside Centre has been renovated and restored by Arena Pontardawe after they had taken over the building from the Local Authority. The building is now being used as a community venue with staff now in place to organise events and activities for all ages.
Our staff have been trained as Community Tourism Ambassadors who a knowledgeable point of welcome for visitors through swapping stories, highlighting the local heritage and of course, showing them where to find the best cup of tea.

Venue Hire

insideThe Building has two main spaces that are available to hire to community groups and individuals.

Event Space: 11m x 5m suitable for such activities as workshops, drama and exhibitions.

Meeting Room 5m x 3m metre equipped with tables and chairs.

Tea and coffee making facilities are available and equipment such as projectors and flp charts can be supplied. The Centre has Disabled access and toilets


Glantawe Riverside Park


The Centre is well placed for providing a base for field studies and educational workshops and projects linked to the environment and healthy living. It is in a delightful rural setting with easy and accessible walks along the towpath or river and is adjacent to route 43 of the Sustrans National Cycle Network and St Illtyd’s Way footpath.
