Welcome to the Riverside Community Space Pontardawe

The Riverside Centre is situated in the Glantawe Riverside Park between the River Tawe and the Swansea Canal, just a short walk from the centre of Pontardawe and the village of Ynysmeudwy.

The Community Building is an ideal venue where your club, group or society can hold regular meetings or host conferences and, when used with the surrounding parkland, is just right for fetes, children’s parties, demonstrations, dog shows, craft fayres and country pursuits. The Centre is also very well placed for providing a base for field studies, educational workshops and projects linked to the environment and healthy living.

The Centre has ample parking and is in a delightful rural setting with easy and accessible walks along the towpath or river and is adjacent to the Sustrans National Cycleway 43 and St Illtyd’s Way long distance footpath.

Please contact us if you would like to hire the Building or discuss how we can help you plan your event or project. robertclapham@tiscali.co.uk

The Riverside Centre is managed by Pontardawe Arena Partnership, a registered charity run and maintained by local volunteers. During the last few years, they have achieved the following:- 2013 – Trustee national winner of the prestigious WCVA ‘Trustee of the Year’ Award; 2013 – Green Flag Award for our work in the Park and the local environment;  2012 – Winners NPT ‘Action for Wildlife’ and Highly Commended ‘Green Business of the Year’; 2011 – Winners of the Neath Port Talbot ‘Green Project of the Year’ and Highly Commended – ‘Action for Wildlife’ category.
